Promoting women in aviation

FTA is proud to welcome three of our newest instructors Amy, Chelsea and Sophie to the company. With the start of the industry’s recovery, FTA has been actively recruiting new operational personnel and we are thrilled to have been able to add Amy, Chelsea and Sophie into our instructor ranks.

Mr. David Toy, FTA Parafield’s COO commented “FTA currently has an 18% female instructor population. Whilst this is comparatively high by aviation standards, we want to continue to actively promote aviation as a career path for females. I would like to highlight that the recruitment process does not take gender into account, and is based on capability and of course all instructors must demonstrate a very high standard of flying competence and teaching ability. Having said this, with the aviation sector now showing signs of recovery, right now is the perfect time to start a career in aviation. So my message to all ladies reading this is that if you want to pursue a career in aviation, whether it is training towards a license, or if you’re interested in a career as an instructor, we would be very happy to discuss this with you.”
