We are currently looking for suitably qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. FTA owns and operates Australia’s largest fleet of Diamond piston engine aeroplanes and additionally operates the Mudry CAP 10 aeroplane and Schweizer helicopters. The role is based at Parafield Airport and reports to the Engineering Manager.
Skills and Experience
All applicants are required to have General Aviation maintenance experience and be able to demonstrate/provide evidence of the following :-
- Cert IV Aeroskills (Mechanical)
- Demonstrated ability to use their initiative to problem solve
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
- Experience with single and multi-engine piston aircraft
Flight Instructor Grade 2 or higher or Grade 3 with Instructional experience

Overview
Flight Training Adelaide is a world-class training provider for the Australian Aviation industry. We employ more than 180 staff and provide flying training and residential facilities for up to 300 cadet pilots from some of the world’s leading airlines. As a result of our strong business growth, FTA is expanding its flight instructor numbers.
With dedicated teams for students, we employ Instructors teaching flight training, ground theory and simulator training, allowing for specialised tuition. Individual specialisation ensures all employees teach in their chosen field, while allowing them to hone their particular skills.
Role
We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and professional dedicated flying instructors who are either Grade 1, Grade 2 or Grade 3 with Instructional hours. The role is full time on a 7-day roster, working 5 of the 7 days.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Current Australian FIR Grade 3 or above; (compulsory)
- Hold/held Command Instrument Rating
- Class 1 medical
A pre-employment AOD test is required if successful. This position is only available to Australian or New Zealand citizens, or if you are a permanent resident of Australia.

We are currently looking for suitably qualified Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team of highly skilled professionals. The role is in our Engineering Department based at Parafield Airport, reporting to the Engineering Manager. FTA operates and owns a large fleet of fixed wing Diamond, Socata Tobago and Mudry CAP10 aircraft and also Schweizer helicopters.
The position requires a CASA B1.2 licence or overseas equivalent.
The salary for this role will depend on qualifications and experience of the LAME applicant and is between $100,000 to $110,000 per annum.
If an overseas licence conversion is required for the applicant, FTA will ensure the applicant is paid the salary of an AME until the licence conversion is complete, then the salary will be that of a LAME in the indicative range as stated above.
