Job overview

FTAQ has an opening for an outstanding Full Time Qualified Flight Examiner / ATO who has a genuine love of aviation to join our Wellcamp Team. The Flight Examiner / Approved Testing Officer is responsible for the conduct of assessments and flight tests for both staff and students at FTAQ.

Role requirements

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

• Hold a Grade One Instructor Rating.
• Hold a Command Instrument Rating.
• CASA Flight Examiner Rating – FER-MEA, FER-IR and FER-CPL

Desirable

• Previous DA40 and DA42 experience highly desirable.
• CASA Flight Examiner Rating – FER-FIR
• Instructor Testing Approval

A pre-employment AOD test is required if successful and a National Police/Criminal History Check.

Job overview

We are seeking to recruit an individual with the skill and experience to work as part of an established and successful team, delivering aviation theory from Commercial Pilot License (CPL) to Air Transport Pilots License (ATPL) level.

Role requirements

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

Essential

• Cert IV Training and Assessment or a higher qualification in adult education
• Hold or have held a CASA CPL with QFI rating

Desirable

• Extensive experience in aviation ground theory covering all theory subjects
• Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory bodies, CASA and ASQA
• Experience teaching theory to a wide range of ethnic, cultural and English second language students.
• ATPL Theory credits

Reporting Structure: Chief Engineer

Job overview

We are currently looking for suitably qualified Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to join our team of highly skilled professionals. The role is in our Engineering Department based at Wellcamp, Queensland, reporting to the Engineering Manager.

FTAQ operates and owns a large fleet of fixed wing Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft.

Role requirements

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

• The position requires a CASA B1.2 licence or overseas equivalent.

Salary

The salary for this role will depend on qualifications and experience of the LAME applicant and is between $75,000 AUD to $90,000 AUD per annum.

If an overseas licence conversion is required for the applicant, FTA will ensure the applicant is paid the salary of an AME until the licence conversion is complete, then the salary will be that of a LAME in the indicative range as stated above.

Job overview

FTAQ has an opening for outstanding Full Time Qualified Tradespersons who has a genuine love of aviation to join our Wellcamp Engineering Team. Be a tradesperson at FTAQ ensuring our aircraft are kept in peak working order. You’ll work with Diamond DA40 and DA42 aircraft to maintain, diagnose, and repair systems, equipment, and components while working in a highly functional, clean hangar. Being an experienced light vehicle or heavy vehicle mechanic with trade qualifications already, you will have the hand skills required to thrive.

Role requirements

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

• Good sound mechanical knowledge
• Light vehicle or heavy vehicle maintenance background desired including holding relevant current trade qualifications in a mechanical field.
• Willingness and interest in expanding training progress to a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualification as a condition of employment
• Proficiency in engine maintenance
