As part of the International Women’s Day celebrations, FTA arranged a get together for all its female staff to celebrate the occasion. The ladies were treated to nibbles, a talk on resilience and strength in the workplace, where after they all participated in a team building exercise, which highlighted that some of our staff have artistic talents that extend beyond aviation.
Pine Pienaar, FTA’s CEO noted “We are very proud of the high percentage of female staff we employ at all levels of our organisation. Our experience has been that our female colleagues offer a point of difference that has made and continues to make FTA a global player. Given our positive experience with women in aviation, FTA considers itself a strong advocate to bring more females into the industry. We should be looking to influence vocational guidance at school level in order to ensure aviation is a pathway that is tabled to all school leavers as an employment option”.
