Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Full Time)

We are currently looking for suitably qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team. FTA owns and operates Australia’s largest fleet of Diamond piston engine aeroplanes and additionally operates the Mudry CAP 10 aeroplane and Schweizer helicopters. The role is based in Adelaide or Wellcamp, and reports to the Engineering Manager

 

Skills and Experience 

All applicants are required to have General Aviation maintenance experience and be able to demonstrate/provide evidence of the following :-

  • Cert IV Aeroskills (Mechanical)
  • Demonstrated ability to use their initiative to problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience with single and multi-engine piston aircraft

Flight Instructor (Fixed Wing)

Flight Instructor Grade 2 or higher or Grade 3 with Instructional experience

Overview 

Flight Training Adelaide is a world-class training provider for the Australian Aviation industry. We employ more than 180 staff and provide flying training and residential facilities for up to 300 cadet pilots from some of the world’s leading airlines. As a result of our strong business growth, FTA is expanding its flight instructor numbers.

 

With dedicated teams for students, we employ Instructors teaching flight training, ground theory and simulator training, allowing for specialised tuition. Individual specialisation ensures all employees teach in their chosen field, while allowing them to hone their particular skills.

 

Role

We are currently seeking applications from highly motivated and professional dedicated flying instructors who are either Grade 1, Grade 2 or Grade 3 with Instructional hours. The role is full time on a 7-day roster, working 5 of the 7 days.

 

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Current Australian FIR Grade 3 or above; (compulsory)
  • Hold/held Command Instrument Rating
  • Class 1 medical

 

A pre-employment AOD test is required if successful. This position is only available to Australian or New Zealand citizens, or if you are a permanent resident of Australia.

Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – (B1.2 Piston Engine/Airframe)

We are looking for a qualified B1.2 Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer to join our Engineering team in Adelaide or Wellcamp.
The role involves maintenance of single and multi-engine piston aircraft across our general aviation fleet.

 

Skills and experience

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications:

  • CASA B1.2 Licence (engine and/or airframe)
  • Experience with piston engine aircraft
  • Ability to work independently and solve problems
  • Valid driver’s licence and ability to obtain an ASIC
  • General aviation experience essential

Flight Training Manager – (Fixed-Wing)

We are seeking a Flight Training Manager – Fixed-Wing to oversee the delivery of our fixed-wing programs and manage instructor and cadet performance. The role is based at our Parafield campus.

 

Skills and experience

All applicants are required to have General Aviation maintenance experience and be able to demonstrate/provide evidence of the following:

  • Strong knowledge of CASA Part 61 and ASQA standards
  • Experience in aviation training or education
  • Skilled in staff management and compliance reporting
  • High level of organisation and attention to detail

ATT Simulator Instructor (SI)

We are seeking suitably qualified and experienced casual simulator instructors to join our Airline Transition Training team at Parafield. In this role, you will deliver Multi-Crew Cooperation (MCC) training to airline cadet trainees in preparation for their type ratings, using our high-fidelity A320 simulator and other advanced training devices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver MCC skills training in accordance with FTA standards.
  • Provide high-quality instruction to cadets from diverse backgrounds.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive training environment.

 

Essential Skills & Experience

  • CASA Part 61 ATPL or CPL with CIR.
  • CASA FIR, OR Degree/Diploma in Adult Education, OR Cert IV in Training & Assessment plus CASA Pilot Instructor Rating Common (PIRC).
  • Minimum 1,500 hours multi-crew airline experience.
  • Extensive airline aircrew experience.
