Adelaide named among the world’s most liveable cities

Adelaide ranks eighth in the 2026 Global Liveability Index

Adelaide has once again been named among the world’s most liveable cities, climbing to eighth place in The Economist Intelligence Unit’s 2026 Global Liveability Index.

The annual index ranks 173 cities across the world, assessing living conditions through five key categories: stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure.

This year, Adelaide received an overall score of 96 out of 100.
