FTA’s relationship with Vietnam Airlines dates back to 1993. FTA has graduated over 100 ab-initio cadet pilots for Vietnam Airlines, most of whom have gone on to become captains in the airline as well as top level managers, including the 787 and A350 fleet Chief Pilot.
Flight Training Adelaide
With 50 aircraft in our fleet, 9 simulators including 3 jet simulators, a fully residential campus within the airport grounds and dedicated student welfare team, FTA is ideally positioned to offer the perfect training solution to cadets from Vietnam.
Integrated ground theory and practical flying delivered over various modules of training. The course provides students with the required flying hours and theory credits to achieve an Australian Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) CPL (AVI50215 Diploma in Aviation CPL-A), MECIR (AVI50415 Diploma of Aviation – Instrument Rating), UPRT, ATPL theory, and MCC (Vietnam Airlines specific)
- Must hold Vietnamese citizenship
- Holder of an CASA medical certificate
- Complete selection with Vietnam Airlines and Flight Training Adelaide
- Ability to apply for Australia student visa
Duration – 55 weeks
- 195 hours flying training (DA40, CAP10 and DA42)
- 72 hours flight simulator training (DA40/DA42, Mechtronix Ascent XJ and MCC simlutors)
- 854 hours ground theory training
- Ground theory: classroom lessons, supported by computer based training
- Flying: individual flying lessons
FTA’s campus has been purposefully designed for flight training, with theory classrooms, simulators, aircraft maintenance and administration facilities, hosting up to 280 students.
Facilities within the campus includes:
- Single room accommodation facilities
- Dining hall
- Fully equipped gymnasium
- Swimming pool
- Tennis courts, badminton court, soccer pitch, five a side football court
